Aluminum only weighs 1/3 as much as steel which makes the tool lighter and more convenient to work with. Used, for example, for prizing work on lorry platforms and for pulling form work timber. A tool made of aluminum does not rust and can handle the cold better. Can be bent three times as much as a steel tool without being deformed.
